The Smarketers is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. You will drive the development and deployment of engaging content for all inbound and outbound global marketing programs. Deliverables will include all aspects of content creation and curation across the marketing funnel, including blogs, white papers, contributed articles, ad copy, customer success stories, thought leadership viewpoints, press releases, website copy, social media posts and marketing emails. This may sound like a large list, however, you’re an avid storyteller that can’t wait to learn more about who we are, what our solutions have to offer and bring to life mundane business processes and technical details in a unique way that your audience can relate to.


  • 5+ years of total professional writing experience, with 2+ years in a B2B technology company selling across the globe
  • Amazing research, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set timelines and juggle multiple tasks for several projects at the same time, often on short timelines
  • SEO and SEM knowledge and an understanding of how to weave it into content
  • You’re a grammar geek who is tickled by beautiful and well-formed sentences
  • You are able to understand the technologies and their buyers and write/direct content that adds value for them

What you’ll do:

  • Conceptualize and create content that will educate, enlighten and entertain our audiences
  • Write persuasive copy that encourages action in prospects and customers, demonstrates thought leadership and strengthens brand awareness for the company’s solution
  • Produce all types of content (long and short form) including blog posts, articles, case studies, newsletters, ad copy, emails and other public-facing materials
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to get the content published and distributed through digital and print media including the company’s website and social channels
  • Monitor analytics to measure the effectiveness of our content strategy
  • Work with the marketing team to participate in and help coordinate other marketing initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a content strategy for clients and our brand that aligns with the goals and campaigns
  • Produce quality content to acquire new leads in the form of blog posts, landing pages, eBooks, case studies, webinars, etc.
  • Use the content you create to support and promote thought leadership and attract site visitors through search, social media and email subscribers
  • Create content for the different platforms for our brand and for our clients around product use-case, brand, and thought leadership
  • Speak with subject matter experts, clients, and their clients to get testimonials, build case studies, or thought leadership pieces
  • Identify the right partners/channels and execute co-marketing/guest blogs opportunities
  • Ongoing SEO keyword analysis and improvements to blog and web content to ensure the website is optimized for search engine ranking 
  • Work with other teams to distribute the content, get it designed, and publish it

B2B experience

B2B experience is a must – particularly in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Ideally, you’ll have 3-4 years+ experience under your belt in strategy roles, whether agency or client-side, with some great B2B case studies to share.

Leadership skills

You’ll be leading content projects for clients ranging from global multinationals to ambitious fast-growth mid-caps. You’ll be comfortable working across everything from rebranding projects to new product launches, proposition development to campaign and content planning. We’re keen to find someone who will display leadership in this strategy role, giving senior clients confidence in our process and outputs.
